Getting a computer system either free or at low cost:
Communities and Charity Organizations:If , as a charitable organization, you could not afford to pay our low costs, we will find a sponsor for your organization. TechReuse does occassionally sponsor a free computer for Canadian charitiies. Please contact us if your charity needs a computer. Are you interested in working with us, please click Partners Link. Individuals:Visit our Community TechStore at our location at 10 to see what we have available for individuals who would like a refurbished system or other used computer products. Our current systems and prices are as follows:
Hardware included: CDROM drive, Floppy Drive, USB ports, parallel and serial ports, sound card, network card, mouse, keyboard, 2 power cords and a 15” monitor. All are high speed internet ready. Dial up modem cards extra ($25 + $10 installation, if pre-ordered).
Software included: Preinstalled Microsoft Canada charity license software: Microsoft Windows Xp pro or 2000 Professional· Microsoft Office 2003 or 2000 Professional (Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Front Page, Excel), Anti-virus software. We are looking to promote sponsorships to give computers to the underpriveleged people in our community. These communities are identified through our distribution partners, according to their criteria. When someone sponsors our identified groups, a computer system is given to each family from that group. When sponsorships are not avaliable, a low cost is charged to recipients.
